Eldar spent the first few hours of life in the ICU. At the age of 6 months he began to sit up, at 11 months he started walking. When he was one, he could speak about ten words. He was a very positive and cheerful child. At the age of 1 year 9 months he got revaccinated and it all began. Eldar began having health problems, lost appetite, developed fever, stopped talking. The parents have been trying to help their child recover ever since. Currently Eldar requires treatment at the Center of speech pathology and neurorehabilitation. The cost is 75,000 rubles. Jaroslav was born on 1 July 2016 with a congenital malformation: left-sided cleft lip, alveolar process, hard and soft palate. On 20 September 2016 Yaroslav (2.5 months old at the time) had his first surgery, cheilorhinoplasty. The surgery went well but the postoperative period has been difficult. Two more surgeries are scheduled: one on the soft palate in 6–7 months, another one on the hard palate in a year. We need help to raise funds for the next surgery, cost of the surgery is 154,600 rubles. Help a sick child!

From a letter by Makar’s mother: I turn to you asking for help. In October of 2014, we had a son, Makar. But when I saw that he was missing his left arm and two fingers on his right hand, I was in shock because we had been waiting for a healthy baby. The defect was identified only after birth. Our diagnosis is aplasia of the left upper limb and I–II fingers of the right hand. We turned for help to the Albrecht Institute, Saint-Petersburg. We had surgical treatment performed. The clinic also made a prosthetic arm our son which has to be replaced annually.

Ilya is the second child in the family and, of course, very welcome. During his premature birth the water broke and the baby was not born timely. It affected his health. The baby spent two days in intensive care then was transferred to the ICU for nursing. At the moment the child can only turn over and cannot do anything else on his own. From a letter from the mother: He had ceased to utter short words which he had already learned. He no longer understood speech, did not respond to requests, forgot his toilet training, was aloof, unfriendly, aggressive, whiny, had disturbed sleep. From mother’s letter of Vlada Mochalova: …at 32 weeks, our daughter was born in cesarean section weighting 1560 grams and with the height of 45 cm. From the hospital we were transferred to a children’s hospital where she was treated and gained weight. We were discharged with a diagnosis of Perinatal lesions of the nervous system of hypoxic genesis, hemorrhage. She stayed in the hospital until 15 months, where she received rehabilitation treatment. The treatment did not help. The lag in development was evident. At 1 year she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, lower spastic paraparesis, delay of psychomotor development.

Kolya currently attends correctional kindergarten. Likes to walk, play on the Playground. Also, like most of his peers he loves cars, he imagines himself the driver. Loves animals, especially his cat Bob, as he calls it. Child kind, sociable, contact with other children and wants to communicate, but communication problems interfere with speech. Kolya must undergo regular rehabilitation courses which cost 40,500 rubles. Let’s help a sick child!

At 7 months, Nikita was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, mixed tetraparesis, delay of psychomotor development, convergent strabismus. He is unable to sit independently, crawl or walk. Nikita is 4 years old and he urgently needs to undergo treatment at a clinic which costs 136,200 rubles. Help a sick child!

From a letter by Yegor’s mother: Ever since the diagnosis it has been hard to deal with Yegor’s physical and mental development. Yegor started to walk at the age of 4 but it’s still only a few faltering steps. In terms of mental health, Yegor is developing according to his age norm. He can already read, and write. When he is sitting you would never guess looking at him that he is seriously ill. But when Egor gets up and tries to walk you can’t watch him without tears.

Hello, I am a mother of two children who were born on March 10, 2014. Irina and Yegor are our long-awaited kids. They were born prematurely (at 32 weeks). The birth was difficult. Both babies were placed in intensive care. The girl was more resilient and recovered after 1.5 months. But Yegor has been on a ventilator for a month, had heart surgery, spent a month and a half in intensive care. As a result of severe hypoxia his brain was affected.

Kostya and Maxim Grishiny are siblings suffering from an autistic spectrum disorder. Autism is a disorder which is reflected in impaired speech and motor skills. This greatly affects social adaptation of children with autism. Children with autism like being alone rather than playing with peers. Brothers Grishiny have had necessary courses of treatment but their parents simply do not have the funds to continue them. They currently require 246,600 rubles to continue treatment. Herman was born on 31 January 2009 with the Apgar score of 7. He grew and developed normally, learned to hold his head up, smile, sit, crawl. At about 10 months he started to talk and could speak a few word by 18 months.

At about 1 year and 9 months speech disappeared. Only when Herman was 5 years 5 months his parents were told at the Research Institute of Psychiatry in Moscow that the probable cause was a vaccination. Herman was diagnosed with autism.
